Decentralized GNSS wasn’t a concept, but it was already working, globally. We closed the year at Solana Breakpoint in Abu Dhabi, where location-aware applications and real-world DePIN took center stage. The physical world is coming on-chain, and it needs infrastructure that works everywhere. Looking back this defining year, GEODNET didn’t just present a vision. We demonstrated it. Global network. Traditional GNSS companies were particularly impressed by onocoy’s global coverage in unexpected regions like Iceland and the Caribbean a clear signal that industry adoption of decentralized GNSS infrastructure is accelerating. ✓ B2B Clients & Data Growth: onocoy added a third B2B client, with multiple correction service providers beginning trials after Intergeo. Existing clients are expanding usage, driving steady increases in data consumption, and requesting more station deployments in undercovered regions. This demonstrates strong product-market fit and real demand. ✓ High Value Area Feature — Coming Soon: Following a successful manual test in Malaysia, the High Value Area feature is being automated to guide network growth where client demand is highest. Interactive map polygons will mark regions with temporary reward multipliers, where miners installing stations earn boosted rewards. The system integrates with streak appreciation for transparent reward visibility. Launch expected next month. ✓ New Client Tools Live: Two major features launched for correction service providers: •Station Browser: Detailed UI showing each station’s visibility, hardware specs, quality, and availability •Usage Export: Clients can download consumption data for cost tracking Coming soon: API access for both miners and clients to automate data retrieval and performance monitoring (with anonymized station locations). ✓ Decentralization Roadmap: Full NTRIP caster decentralization remains technically challenging due to <200ms latency requirements. Instead, onocoy is focusing on decentralizing validation processing— the nightly computation determining each station’s exact position. This work can be offloaded to decentralized compute networks where validators stake tokens and earn rewards for accurate validation. ✓ Streak Appreciation Results: One month in, ~1,400 stations have active streaks, with many reaching the 29-day maximum. The main cause of streak breaks is low uptime— miners must maintain 0.98 availability and 0.8 quality (roughly 7–8 minutes of allowable downtime per day). Streaks now halve rather than reset when broken, encouraging consistent reliability aligned with client expectations. ✓ Southeast Asia Campaign Impact: The recent campaign added 150 new stations: Malaysia (91), Japan (30), Taiwan (11), and Thailand (10). Key takeaway: local partnerships and hardware access are crucial, with future campaigns targeting subregions for higher impact. ✓ Usage Rewards— In Development: A portion of client revenue will soon be shared with miners regionally, shifting incentives toward real network demand. Rewards depend on station performance but encourage regional collaboration, clients need multiple stations per area for redundancy. Over time, usage rewards will replace base rewards as the primary income source, creating a sustainable economic loop tied to real revenue. ✓ Token & Exchange Updates: onocoy’s token model prioritizes business growth first, buybacks and usage rewards are powered by real client payments, not speculation. The team is improving liquidity depth before pursuing centralized exchange listings to ensure stability and prevent premature delistings. ✓ Hardware Agnosticism Confirmed: Onocoy remains hardware-agnostic, supporting dual-, triple-, and quad-band receivers (dual-band: ~30% rewards, triple-band: ~80% rewards). Custom-built receivers are welcome. This approach avoids hardware lock-in, enables faster innovation, and keeps entry barriers low, focusing on network orchestration, not hardware sales. Wrap up onocoy is maturing fast The focus now is network quality, revenue & sustainable token economy.
