Ukraine has unveiled a cutting-edge autonomous quadcopter built on the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano platform, capable of navigating without GPS. Leveraging VSLAM technology, it processes real-time data from the Intel RealSense D435i camera and IMU via Isaac ROS, integrated with the PX4 flight stack and MAVROS. This enables visual-inertial odometry and map creation, allowing operation in GPS-denied environments such as tunnels, buildings, forests, or urban zones with signal interference. Priced between $950–$1,100 in its basic configuration, the drone holds significant potential for combat use — especially for reconnaissance in electronic warfare scenarios, GPS-jammed areas, and indoor or underground missions.
