The Consulate General of India in Houston was pleased to participate in the 3rd edition of “Dharma in the Digital Age,” organized by the Dharma Civilization Foundation from June 5–7, 2026, at the University of Houston, Texas.
The three day conference brought together scholars, technologists, educators, and community leaders for a timely and meaningful dialogue on how Dharma can guide humanity in an era shaped by digital transformation.
During the concluding session on June 7, 2026, Consul General D.C. Manjunath
highlighted India’s strong commitment to promoting the Indian Knowledge System, noting the global resonance of initiatives such as the International Day of Yoga, World Meditation Day, Gita Pakhwada, and Ayurveda Day. He referenced the MANAV concept put forth by PM Shri Narendra Modi in the context of AI —placing the human being at the center of innovation—and drew parallels with global appeals, including the recent call by Pope Francis, for the ethical and responsible use of AI. These converging voices, he observed, reflect a shared global awareness and a collective responsibility.
The Consulate General of India in Houston appreciates the Dharma Civilization Foundation for organizing this important event and commends all speakers for their insightful contributions. The Consulate stands ready to support such positive initiatives that deepen understanding, encourage collaboration, and promote global appreciation of India’s knowledge traditions.
