Murmuration, a temporary installation at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, designed by SO – IL in 2020 to interact with Renzo Piano’s architectural design of the museum’s Piazza. The installation comprises a foliage-filled mesh canopy suspended from a steel framework inspired by bird migrations and Atlanta’s natural tree canopies. The installation includes bird feeders, seating perches, and other elements to promote interaction and awareness about biodiversity and conservation. Fabricated in Mexico, the installation can be dismantled and reinstalled in other locations, creating its migratory path.
