You sing louder with '90s pop bangers and original songs adapted to fit a playful, subversive personal narrative about transgender liberation in the face of systemic oppression. Last night I saw "Ulster American", by David Ireland, at the @IrishRep. What a marvelous production! Both a farce and a drama (even a melodrama, by some definitions), it stars Max Baker, Matthew Broderick and Geraldine Hughes. Geraldine ran away with the show. The script dictated that she must, but pulling it off was a triumph. If you at all can, do see this wonderful production.
