A recurring motif in Emanuele Luzzati's iconography was the stylized representation of forests. Intensified by its dynamic, ornamental setting and evocative chromatic contrasts, his tapestry La Favola (Fable) recalls a fairytale atmosphere. #ItalianThreads runs until 17 Jan 2021

Despite some initial setbacks, Ponis was keen to market both traditional and ‘modern’ designer rugs. His custom-made textile machines sped up production and enabled the product to be marketed at affordable prices whilst still maintaining a high level of artistry. #ItalianThreads
