My son Jackson (no longer the little adventurer from #JacksLibraryTour) was the #HearNow videographer. He’ll be helping to upload photos and video to the Black History Map that we created over the next few weeks. Look for that here. felt.com/map/HearThis-Black-…
Love you Jack Jack
I got to take a ride with @AndrewLochhead this morning starting at @TPLJonesLibrary Talking about my comic book type ‘origin story’ and how #EastEndLove is etched into my movement forward.
#JacksLibraryTour ended there sparking my Urbanist awakening. 1/

“What a wonderful way to end the #JacksLibraryTour! Jack's father, Lanrick Jr Bennett spoke about transit, community, the importance of spending time with family, and the love for our Toronto Public Library system.
Jack's family used Daniel Rotsztain's coloring book " All the Toronto Libraries" as their passport. Checking and stamping each branch along the way.
We were very happy to host your last stop of your library tour!”
Libraries matter now more than ever.
I've long loved Toronto's amazing libraries. Toronto Public Library is the busiest public library system in the world, and our 100 branches represent a safe, welcoming, and caring space for millions.
Today and tomorrow, #ImLibraryPeople.
ALT It's "I'm Library People Day"!
Today on "I'm Library People Day", we recognize the importance of the TPL to our city and its users, while highlighting the core values of our library system; equity, diversity, intellectual freedom, innovation, inclusion, integrity, accountability and quality service for all Torontonians.
Despite the challenges that libraries currently face, the Toronto Public Library continues to ensure all residents have access to a broad range of information, ideas and opportunities. Today, we celebrate the Toronto Public Library and its branches as public places and spaces that help us to learn and grow, while encouraging open, uncensored dialogue and new perspectives.
We love Toronto Public Library.
Visited all 100 @torontolibrary branches with my son when he was 5 years old! Still blown away by the absolute weight these public spaces carry as the safe, equitable and accessible spot in our city. In one hundred neighbourhoods.
Just wow! #JacksLibraryTour
