Keep an eye on this one. 👀 One of our younger 7th graders — technically still 6th grade by age — and the growth happening right in front of us has been incredible to watch. She’s hungry. She asks questions. She seeks clarity. She wants to understand the “why,” not just the “what.” Every practice she’s taking notes, making adjustments, and showing a level of maturity beyond her years. The physical development will come. The skill development will come. But it’s the mindset that’s catching our attention. When a player becomes intentional about learning, that’s when something special starts to happen. We’re watching confidence grow. We’re watching leadership emerge. Today, Team Tiarra had the opportunity to spend time with former Northwest Magic standout Tiarra Brown, and moments like this are exactly why we do what we do. Tiarra started her Northwest Magic journey in 3rd grade and stayed with the program all the way through 12th grade. She put in the work year after year, trusted the process, and continued chasing her goals. That journey led her to an incredible career at Grand Canyon University, where she became one of the top defenders in the country and earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. Today, she’s playing professionally. What made her visit so impactful wasn’t her awards or accomplishments—it was her message. Focus on the fundamentals. Keep working on your game. Practice the way you want to play. Simple. Powerful. Championship habits. We want our players to understand that Tiarra was once exactly where they are now. Sitting in the same gym. Attending the same practices. Working through the same drills. Dreaming the same dreams.
