Congratulations to this brother 💃🎉🎊 " I’m officially in my final year of medical school, with yet another distinction in the bag. It still feels surreal saying that out loud. It’s been almost two months since I completed my 5th year, received my 4th MBBS Medical Professional Examination result, and stepped into final year, yet it all feels like it just happened yesterday. I remember vividly the moment I saw my result: Obstetrics and Gynaecology ✅ Paediatrics ✅ (Distinction) In that instant, goosebumps washed over me. I felt an overwhelming surge of joy, so intense, I could have cried. My entire 5th-year journey flashed before my eyes. I was in awe and grateful to God at the same time. The hardwork and sacrifices had paid off. Through my time as a 5th-year medical student, I: ✨ Got selected for The Bridge Program by The Afara Initiative out of about 5,000 applicants ✨ Joined the Manuscript Writing Hub Research Fellowship and graduated as one of the valedictorians ✨ Completed the Aspire Leaders Program from Aspire Institute ✨ Was recognized as a Peace Ambassador by the UN International Association of World Peace Advocates ✨ Got into the The Kectil Program initiative of The Malmar Knowles Family Foundation (couldn't complete this) ✨ Got into the One Million Leaders Africa fellowship (couldn't complete this) ✨ Got selected as a Cowrywise campus ambassador ✨ Received multiple rejections along the way ✨ Was invited as a speaker at Gregory University, Uturu ✨ Took on a role as a Youth and Adolescent Programs Coordinator at SieDi-Hub ✨ Deepened our work at UnboxMed alongside incredible co-founders ✨ Received multiple awards from my class and constituency at school ✨ Led and participated in numerous social impact and medical outreach initiatives ✨ Served as a student campus fellowship leader (AG Worship Center Abayi, Aba, ABSUTH chapter) ✨ Served with the Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA) ABSUTH chapter as the Transportation Committee Chairman ✨ Served as member of the planning team for the ABSUMSA 2025 health week... Amongst others Balancing classes, clinical postings, study sessions, leadership roles, volunteering, fellowships, and the constant pressure to grow was no small feat. But through it all, God sustained me. And now, here I am, in my final year. A dream that once felt distant is now my reality. I am grateful for how far I’ve come. I am grounded in the work it took to get here. And I am driven by the impact that still lies ahead.
