UFC Holds White House Fight Event on Trump's 80th Birthday
A UFC fighting event took place at the White House on Sunday. It was held on Trump's 80th birthday.
The event was called UFC Freedom 250. It was also part of America 250 which marks 250 years of the United States.
Seven fights took place inside a large temporary octagon on the South Lawn. Over 4,000 people watched from the lawn including 1,000 military members.
Another 120,000 lottery winners watched from a nearby area called the Ellipse. The event was streamed on Paramount .
Two Virginia residents tried to cancel the event in court. But a judge said no on Friday.
The UFC said it would pay fighters bonuses in crypto currency issued by World Liberty Financial. World Liberty Financial is a Trump family business. Some fighters got those bonuses at the event on Sunday.
