Let’s Learn about blood GROUP and GENOTYPE.

Blood group? That’s your ABO thing O, A, B, AB—plus the Rh factor, like positive or negative. It’s what shows up on your red blood cells. You inherit it from your parents, simple as that?
Genotype? That’s deeper in your DNA code for blood. The big one people talk about here is sickle cell:
AA (normal), AS (carrier), SS (sickle cell disease).
AS means you’ve got one bad gene one from mom one from dad but you’re mostly fine.
SS? That’s when both genes are bad, and your red cells get sickle-shaped, block vessels, hurt like hell, and can kill early if not managed.
Why it's imperative to talk about this is: If you’re marrying or having kids, check both.
Two AS people? Fifty percent chance your baby gets SS—pain, infections, hospital trips.
Two AA? Zero risk. AS AA? The baby might be a carrier, but no disease.
Quick rule: Never marry without knowing.
One blood test, one genotype test done.
#KnowYourCode—because love’s sweet, but sickle cell isn’t.
