Qualifying doesn’t need to be telemetry labTV. All the throttle traces, ghost cars, and constant splits kill the suspense. Just have an ESPN-style scoring pylon w/ a simple tracker, and let the car number fall into place after the lap. That short delay added just enough intrigue.
