📈CURRENT FORM//
North Shields
10th | WDLL - FA Cup exit at home to Newcastle Blue Star last weekend was followed by a 3-0 home defeat to Newcastle Benfield in midweek.
They have won one and lost one in home league action so far. Their only win came on opening day as they dispatched Whickham with a 3-1 win. Two Lee Mason penalties and a Jordan Lashley strike secured the points.
Marske United
19th | LLWD - Followed up last Saturday’s 2-0 home win in the FA Cup against in-from Carlisle City with a 1-1 home league draw vs Birtley Town in midweek.
Alfie Hughes’ first goal of the season earning the point.
They are unbeaten in two games in all competitions.
No player has yet to score more than once for the Seasiders this season - they have five players on one goal.
⏪LAST TIME//
The side shared five goals in the corresponding NL1 fixture last season as hosts North Shields won 3-2.
Jamie Holmes put the hosts ahead on 25 minutes but Kyran Clark levelled matters just two minutes later, 1-1.
Shields restored their lead four minutes before half time through Euan Anderson.
Clark, once again, brought Marske back square with a 73rd minute strike but Will McCamley won it for Shields with a strike nine minutes from full time, 3-2.
🔮OUR PREDICTION//
Shields will be eager to use any home advantage to get back to winning ways after two defeats - admittedly those losses both came at home and Shields failed to score in both too. Maybe home advantage won't help.
Marske are still finding their feet under new gaffer Nick Ward but a mini run of two games unbeaten will have helped build a little confidence.
Shields to take this one.
Robins 2-0 Marske
