On the topic of male aging.
The invisible does get better. Wisdom, judgement, and impulsiveness.
The invisible biological part declines though, labwork, sex drive, sex ability, joints, general feeling of well being.
Usually what you're feeling is the accumulation of bad habits of the previous ten years. A1c was 10.4. Now it's nearly half that. Still working on it, but off insulin and Metformin.
I inquired into TRT for ten years starting at 55. Doc kept saying I'm not ready. At 65, after an annual physical and labwork, and me just saying "I'm feeling old these days", he said Ok, you're ready. I was thrilled at the possibility of feeling normal.
Testosterone from 430 to 1054. Zero side effects.
Mojo/libido tempered, but not concerned. A strong success drive is way more satisfying than sex drive.
You go to a high school class reunion and you think "Look at all these old people", then you look in the mirror and see an old guy looking back at you. Reality check.
Then 6 months ago I started peptides and there's no looking back. Workout 2-3x a week, TRT, peptide protocol, alcohol-free, no carb coma, long work days, great rest days, better nutrition, prioritize sleep, reduce stress, and I "feel" 40 years old. The body looks 40. Face still looks 66🤣. It doesnt match my physique. Not a lot one can do about that, I earned every wrinkle and white hair.
