Another UK immigration rule changes have been made today.
If you or someone you know is planning an immigration application in the next 12–18 months, here is the summary and checklist:
Check your English test level: is it B1 or B2? If applying after March 2027, you need B2.
If you’re in the asylum system, note the date your claim was submitted; before or after 2 March 2026 matters enormously for how long your leave will be (30months)
Failed asylum seekers must attend in person to submit new evidence. Don’t miss appointments.
Anyone with a court case pending; get immigration advice, especially with the suspended sentence change.
Cameroonians planning to study in the UK; the student visa route has been blocked for entry clearance.
Ultimately, seek urgent legal advice.
