#Nonverbal is receptive/expressive #languagedisability. It can’t develop magically to talking. Young lady in video was most likely elective mute. 🙏People with #severeautism level 3 kids need to know the TRUTH their child requires therapy to progress&communication’s SLOW process.

#SevereAutism doesn’t develop MAGICALLY like this. #Nonverbal #languagedisability is receptive&expressive. Through therapy it’s not unheard of for a child to build language. It’s a GRADUAL process where child can become preverbal/SLOWLY building towards functional communication.
A 5-year-old child with autism, who was non-verbal until recently, made a surprise recording for her mom. x.com/visualfeastwang/status…

Tallulah Willis revealed her BPD not long ago, now she’s doing trendy identity ‘women’s autism’ Switcheroo🙄 I would have more respect for AS if they linked up with Bruce Willis’s #Aphasia so catastrophic #languagedisability received attention. #ProfoundAutism #RegressiveAutism

ordinarily, I wouldn't be surprised, but after Jerry Seinfeld, William Shatner and other a listers have supported #autismspeaks not sure why they would have a third rate celebrity host their Los Angeles gala

Pretending you can’t read? #ProfoundAutism’s also needed because of callous individuals who could careless about DIRECT research that could help 24/7care needs/CATASTROPHIC #languagedisability&dangerous #maladaptivebehaviours. Can’t see that evaluate YOUR #disabilitydiscrimation.

#ProfoundAutism’s a LARGE % #autism yet most ignored by research & cast asides by current “awareness.” Our kids have #languagedisability/ #nonverbal yet people want to pretend it’s intact🤷‍♀️just needs IPad🙄or “other” as JUST ID😡 Profound autism is BEHAVIOURAL care needs 24/7.

Enough with the ambiguities and generalizations. Clarity and focus are needed for those who require lifetime/24/7 care. We are dying out here.

Honest question, why can’t/neurodiversity/LET GO of #SevereAutism #nonverbal? MAJORITY have receptive/expressive #languagedisability. Apraxic's can’t speak for them either. YOU ALL think they’re just comorbidities anyway🤷‍♀️NDM’s proves egocentric by DEATH GRIP on #profoundautism

Not only does movement recognize autism's disability & include & advocate for ppl w/ high support needs, but functioning labels are invalid. Autism is not linear & neither is our functioning; it can vary dramatically for same person b/c of various factors: mdpi.com/2227-7102/13/2/106

Spellers were included #nationalautismstrategy 🇨🇦Talks😡@CAHS_ACSS I’ve NEVER seen one spell more then “my name is” then audio Recording. #ProfoundAutism son PROMPTED types words, however #languagedisability persists @FCisnotScience! ACCESS/#EvidenceBasedTheapy ONLY way to build!

But all the available evidence indicates that the ppl doing the “telling” aren’t the “spellers” but the ppl who hold up their letterboards. Spelling to Communicate (S2C) is FC & the American Speech Language Hearing Association has warned against its use. asha.org/slp/asha-warns-agai…

Thank’s for the response John. Unfortunately, #languagedisability/over 8/requires better medical language=understanding, it’s lacking in autism Community. With self ID lines blur between autism&other conditions. I don’t have the answers, but medical language helps #ProfoundAutism

Research main FOCUS should be #LanguageDisability/#CommunicationDisorders in #Autism #MedTwitter! Disabled adults require more then just being housed. Learning never stops! Rehabilitation/therapies should be ongoing for all that require progressing advancement. #SevereAutism
My son’s group home provides shelter, but no program for rehabilitation. His recovery from autistic language disorder should be a focus of research.

2/ That's why research into #LanguageDisability #ProfoundAutism is minimal. People should be "SPELLING OUT," That #SEVEREAUTISM needs access to #EvidenceBasedTherapy and REAL research!

HATE! Psychic🤣😭😡representation="The Reason I Jump" book. Suggestion comes up often in EVERY Autism group😡for those with #LanguageDisability #SevereAutism kids, don't fall for it! Stop letting FC charlatans or disgruntled parents SPEAK for your CHILD! #EvidenceBasedTherapy
"The Reason I Jump" may not say exact "I am disgusting", but the book has passages where it appears that Naoki feels bad for being who he is. He was subjected to FC throughout the book, so it's not possible to know his independent thoughts because of facilitator influence.

A 24 hour EEG is important, and you want to look for evidence of spike-and-wave patterns. Most neurologists will not realize the significance of these, but they are evidence of deep-brain seizures. The cortex-the outer layer of the brain-cannot detect that electrical activity.

@ASDAlliance @CAHS_ACSS why is Diagnosed Level 3 autism glossed over? #LanguageDisability is as serious as blind/deaf. #MedicareForAutism #aba is essential! Many adults are screaming on the floor in diapers because of Canada’s neglect! #accountability @JustinTrudeau #Canpoli
