BTW #LanguageIsAVerb crew… was messaging another JP/Eng bilingual friend just now and this week’s Tweets made me re-realise just how liberating it is to never have to think about translating your multilingual thoughts into one language.

My grandmother was bilingual in English and Slovak. My grandfather’s parents spoke Polish. My grandparents only spoke English to their children. Our family lost these heritage languages. #LanguageIsAVerb
