Did you know you can use the static from a balloon to move an empty can? We had lots of fun seeing how quickly we could get our cans to cross the finish line & thanks to crazy hair day, we found that a balloon a nylon wig makes a LOT of static 😄 #LarbertSTEM #STEMLarbert

Today in #P6M_LVPS we learned about the skeletal system and made a model elbow, then we played a very amusing game of Guess the Skeleton. As you do. Did you know that spiders and butterflies don't have bones? They have an exoskeleton. #LarbertSTEM #STEMLarbert @RAiSE_falkirk

Yesterday #P6M_LVPS had a ball creating stop motion movies with the #OSnap app on their #iPads. We then used #imovie to add sound effects and a title slide. The children created a @padlet of all their videos that they can share at home! #STEMLarbert #LarbertSTEM @RAiSE_falkirk

Today #P6M_LVPS trialled a lesson I've been developing as part of the @LHSTechnologies working group. We combined technologies with maths & learned to use a compass to accurately draw circles. We can plot co-ords & use diameter / radius too! #LarbertSTEM #STEMLarbert #LVPSMaths
