Wayne County Speedway | Orrville, OH | May 28, 2026 LoneWolf 40 (40/40 laps) Race Story in a Nutshell Ricky Thornton Jr. dominated from the pole and survived a caution-filled “Dust Bowl” night at Wayne County to claim the LoneWolf 40 victory. • Early chaos: Dalton Wilson fell from 2nd to 5th, and a lap-6 caution flew. • Hudson O’Neal running 2nd pitted under caution and restarted from the tail. • Tyler Erb threw some serious sliders and charged into 3rd. • Bobby Pierce had a standout run, marching from 16th to the top 5. • Late race action. With 10 to go, Hoffman and Pierce both got by Erb. • Final drama: 6th caution with just 2 laps remaining Brandon Sheppard running strong suffered a flat tire and had to pit. Thornton stayed out front through all the yellows and brought it home for the win in what turned into a survival race more than anything. A gritty, dusty one at Wayne County!
