Layout is a silent guide.
Here’s what users actually do (not what we wish they did):
•They scan, not read
•They look for visual anchors (headers, buttons, icons)
•Decide in 3–5 seconds if they’re staying
•Prefer predictable patterns over “creative confusion”
•On mobile? They scroll. Quickly. And leave faster.
Design layouts for decisions, not decoration.
