‼️At a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing this week on the U.S. Army's posture for FY2027, Chairman
@SenatorWicker made something clear that every American should hear: the lessons of Ukraine are now central to U.S. military modernization.
In his opening remarks, Sen. Wicker emphasized:
🪖 Land power matters again. Russia's war of choice in Ukraine has "underscored the enduring importance of land power in high-intensity conflict."
🤝 The U.S. Army is learning directly from Ukrainians. Through the Security Assistance Group, Ukraine, the Army has helped Ukrainian forces plan and resource their fight - and has "harvested many lessons from that partnership to inform our modernization."
🛡️ New defense concepts are being built on Ukrainian battlefield experience. Wicker commended the Army and U.S. Army Europe for developing the Eastern Flank Deterrence Line - a layered concept of unmanned tripwires, missile defenses, and distributed strike capabilities. In his words, "It is exactly the direction we need to go."
In short: Ukraine's resistance is not only defending Ukrainian land - it is helping the United States prepare for the threats of tomorrow. Every drone tactic, every adaptation, every hard-won lesson on the Eastern front is making the U.S. military stronger, smarter, and more ready.
This is why standing with Ukraine is not charity. It is a strategy. It is shared security. It is in America's direct national interest.
🤝 Thank you,
@SenatorWicker, for your clear-eyed leadership on the Senate Armed Services Committee and for recognizing what Ukrainians have given to the cause of free nations.
📢 Take action today - Support S. 2978: Designate Russia as a State Sponsor of Terrorism
S. 2978 calls for the designation of the Russian Federation as a State Sponsor of Terrorism. Such a designation would strengthen accountability mechanisms under U.S. law, reinforce sanctions authorities, and signal that actions targeting civilians and critical infrastructure carry serious consequences.
