I previously worked with LevelNext on running madden / fifa collegiate.
1. The games are basically non functional for online play. Peer to peer meant very frequent NAT issues especially with students on campus networks. Regular a panic of what if a match cannot connect.

In Madden 22, I started making deep runs in tournaments: Madden 22 Levelnext 3rd Place, Madden 22 Ultimate Thanksgiving Final 8, and qualified for the Madden 22 Bowl.

Collegiate madden has historically been a huge esport. Levelnext and learfield were able to reach 20k viewers and over 11 unique chatters.

Fully saw this coming… also I’m pretty sure Rally Cry was organizer for the LevelNext collegiate Madden & FIFA tournaments the past 2 years. SPOILER ALERT: I don’t think LevelNext will be coming back in the Fall. Concerned for that $300k 😭

To add to this, when asked what the events were, levelnext was listed.
I’m 32 years old how the fuck am I supposed to compete in level next and why is something not open to everyone used for LAST CHANCE QUALIFICATION?! Make it make sense

levelnext pushed out the most soulless vapid content i've ever seen. just another entity that threw infinite money blindly into the space thinking it could turn a quick buck off of something others had built.

Levelnext is dead. mass layoffs at learfield including cutting the entire levelnext team.
knew about it a couple weeks ago.
thank god. one of the most predatory entities in collegiate esports is gone.
some OG good collegiate esports ppl coming back into the space soon 0-0
