Happiest 9th Birthday Cobra 🎂🐾🎉
RMWD Cobra, a proud Royal Air Force Police dog, spent much of her career alongside her handler at RAF Odiham before stepping into a well-earned retirement with her family.
Hanging up her harness in December 2024, Cobra joined the Hero Paws family, where her service will always be recognised, respected, and remembered.
Trained at the Defence Animal Training Regiment, Cobra gave six years of loyal, dedicated service to her country. Intelligent, driven, and operationally proven, she earned top marks by winning the RAF Odiham Operational Assessment and going on to compete in UK trials, a true testament to her capability.
Her service placed her at moments of national importance, providing security during the repatriation of Queen Elizabeth II and the coronation of King Charles III, standing the line with quiet professionalism.
Now, Cobra is living the life she earned. At home with her handler, her guardian, enjoying comfort, calm, and the simple joys of being just a dog. Alongside her little brother Leo, who keeps life fun and full of play.
Affectionate, loyal, and with just the right amount of sass, Cobra loves her cuddles… and makes sure you know if you stop too soon.
Today, we celebrate not just a birthday — but a life of service, loyalty, and everything that comes after.
Happy 9th Birthday, Cobra 🐾
Here’s to many more years of love, comfort, and well-earned adventures.
Retired does not mean discarded.
Support doesn’t end when service does.
