If you think failure means the end, read this:
"If things are not failing sometimes, you are not innovating enough." - Elon Musk
Here are the four main areas where Elon Musk has failed, yet he didn't quit.
1. Startup struggles at Zip2.
Elon's first company, Zip2, faced many difficulties in its early days. Musk and his brother even slept in the office while trying to keep the company alive before it eventually succeeded.
2. Fired as the CEO of a company.
Musk founded
X.com, which later became PayPal. During the company's growth, when he was considered not performing well as the CEO, he was removed by the board while he was on vacation. Despite that setback, he still worked with them before the company later sold successfully.
3. SpaceX rocket failures
When Musk started SpaceX, their first three rocket launches failed between 2006 and 2008, leading to the company being almost bankrupt. But they tried again, and the fourth launch finally succeeded, saving the company. Today, they are doing exploits.
4. Running Tesla to near bankruptcy.
Tesla, Inc. nearly collapsed during the 2008 financial crisis. In order to revive and make it work, Musk invested most of his own money to keep the company alive, and today, we can all see what Tesla has become.
Those failures became stepping stones to building companies like Tesla, SpaceX, and others.
Life lesson:
Failure is not the opposite of success; it is often part of the path to success.
Let's be mutuals
