Woke up to an unbelievable lightning storm in the Bay Area this weekend. Got the light2sound synth set up to capture some strikes. What you're hearing is the light2sound signal morphed with a VirusTI synth running into a speaker filled with BB's.

Yeah, though some of the raw sound was in there since it’s a morph. Try shining a bright light through moving stuff in a dark room with the moving object in between the light2sound and your light source (used the iPhone light). A regular fan is a cool place to start.

Yep, using light2sound for the modulation signal. Sculpture is from a small company in Italy called Kinetrika. Synth carrier signal is Korg LittleBits through Red Panda Particle guitar pedal. Morph is done with Zynaptiq.

Had a grand time digging out a slightly dusty Light2Sound PX (Rare Waves) and handing it to the kids (3,8 yrs). Being able to point a device at a a light source and hearing the results is gratifying -- xmas tree lights, spinning light-up tops, flashlights -- so much fun!
