Just crossed 18k followers on LinkedIn, but funny that a little over a year ago I had basically nothing there.
Now it’s 18k people and 2M impressions (Linekdin impressions are much much different than on X) On LinkedIn, you can get 1/3 of the impressions you get on X but still grow 3x faster.
A few things I learned:
• Just start. Seriously. Pick a number. Mine was 2 posts a week and 20 comments.
• Have a lane. I mostly talk about Chatbase, marketing, AI, customer support, and building things. Makes it much easier.
• Try everything. Videos, text posts, images, memes. Half the time you don’t know what works until you post it.
• Talk to people. Comment on their posts. Reply to messages. Make friends. The internet is smaller than it looks.
• Don’t quit after 10 posts. Nobody cared about my early content either.
• Find people who are good at this and study them. Hooks, structure, storytelling, all of it.
The biggest lesson though:
Enjoy it.
If you’re forcing yourself to post because some Sandra on internet told you, you’ll probably quit.
