If you want to explore the Phosh ecosystem stuff, @droidianlinux also supports the Pixel 3a - so all in all, I think my true recommendation to you is that device.

Since you liked Ubuntu Touch and hardware support (working camera and such) seem to be a priority, you should also evaluate the Pixel 3a. @fredldotme did an amazing job on making that hardware work perfectly with Ubuntu Touch.

If you want to go mainline, these are the phones I recommend at this point: The PinePhone (hw v1.2a and later) and the Xiaomi PocoPhone F1. Getting a Librem 5 makes sense if you want to support Purism as they support the ecosystem - you can also donate to projects involved.

Not @linuxphoneapps, but same person: It really depends on what you need and what amount of tinkering and bugs you can live with. Feel free to send me an email if twitter's character limit is too limiting. (Also, you need to differentiate between Ubuntu Touch, Sailfish, pmOS ..)

There are many things I need to fix/improve on LinuxPhoneApps, but I am not sure where to start. Just opened it in Dillo, and ... making it more usable in Dillo might be a fun starting point.
