The position paper was developed under the Local Leadership Lab (LLL), an experimental initiative of the @CIVICUSalliance , delivered in partnership with @InfoAPN , as the Regional Convening Partner for Southeast Africa. The newsletter highlights the study’s findings, showing that local actors in Uganda continue to be treated as subcontractors rather than co-creators, and calls for transformative shifts including pooled funding, simplified reporting, and long-term core support for sustainability. It also recognizes @NaomiAyot , our Executive Director, for voicing these concerns and advocating for development rooted in the agency and lived experiences of local and national actors.
