Did you know that #loggerheadturtles are indigenous to #SouthAfrica? 🇿🇦🐢 They nest on the beaches in northern KwaZulu Natal between November and January, laying up to 130 eggs. The hatchlings join the warm Agulhas Current shortly after. 🌊#conservation #twooceansaquarium #turtle

#loggerheadturtles can travel up to 13,000km annually? A rescued #turtle called Pan was released in Hout Bay by @2OceansAquarium in July '22. By December, he had travelled 4,300km!

Another highlight was the sighting of 2 #LoggerheadTurtles allowing for a rare glimpse of these creatures in their natural environment. Birds were represented mainly by a variety of gulls including #YellowLeggedGulls, #LesserBlackBackedGulls, #AudouinsGulls & #MediterraneanGulls.
