think about Minecraft, for instance -- Minecraft doesn't even really have a coherent story, it is much more archetypal and "fill in the blanks" even with Mojang's trend of soft-lorebuilding in the last decade -- a lot of it is, if you see a story in it at all, is from your own

Depends on where you draw the "background vs side character" line: Yeva seems background, Nori seems side, and Tessa(arguably just background lorebuilding but gets enough focus rule a side) is more popular than both

Losing my mind about some of these lore beats.. This has been YEARS of lorebuilding arghghhg. The Destiny storytelling needs to continue. The Ahamkara whims🥹The Dreaming City curse 😭 @Bungie @PlayStation
It kills me seeing these long-gestating stories come alive as text lore instead of the glorious expansions they could've been

Destiny has genuinely been the best game I've ever played in terms of lorebuilding for concepts and items (esp weapons like I'm genuinely so attached to some of my weapons beyond just their usage just bc the lore is so beautiful)

Ive seen a youtube video that basically posited that the biggest fandoms come from incomplete works that allow for headcanons and theorizing and lorebuilding. Fandom is about inventing what isnt there more than about considering what is.

El RNG es estúpidamente aleatorio (como suele ser en los smts), a pesar de que puedas perder en una pelea sencilla porque los hdps te hagan crítico seguidos, considero que es de los mejores SMT en cuanto lorebuilding y su atmósfera

for anyone looking to buy a 🍸 vp my top 3 are prince, phonecall, and sleepover!! prince has great lorebuilding and a bit of a different personality, sleepover is extremely careful and romantic, and phonecall made me very flustered. all 3 scripts are written by him as well!

a friend of mine talk crap alot about how bad and shallow Genshin is and how it has become a generic mess, and I have to give up on explain things to him because I can't possibly coherently explain their masterful lorebuilding, nor can I sound like a sane person attempting so

there's genuinely some bullshit happening in hoyoverse's offices and at some point you have to realize that they probably employed a shaman to magick up future release schedules

Some time ago I created this awesome PFP collection for @Wingbits Those are secret and can only be minted by owners of Wingbits air traffic tracking device Had true fun creating those, real lorebuilding for real De-Pin product :)
We’ve managed to decipher some of the strange signals that the network picked up 📡🪐 It appears to be an urgent SOS for safe refuge, coming from a distant parallel universe. A collective of 7,470 human-like species are imminently arriving. They have identified themselves as the Wingnauts, unique beings forged from static and signal by the psychedelic priest known only as @Stalomir Captains. Navigators. Pilots. Explorers. Each one requests a beacon - a signal to be tethered too. And only an active Wingbits station can claim their Wingnaut... Will you answer their call? wingbits.com/wingnauts-omniv…

problem is bryke started this shit in ATLA finale lol I don't understand how these two came up with such great lore, story and the world, yet dropped the ball when it came to Korra lorebuilding
This scene is a good example of my issue with metalbending in Korra. In the original series, Toph had to be in physical contact with the metal, because it was much harder to bend than actual earth, because she was bending the impurities within it. Meanwhile, the metal bending in Korra is basically the opposite, they actually bend with far more precision than anyone bends earth with, which doesn't make any sense. It's kinda in the same vein as the lavabending, where instead of applying any actual logic to it, they treated the bending as pure sorcery. Korra doesn't learn it from anyone, she just has it, because she has more Bending Midiclorians than everyone else, I guess.

explorcorps alone could have made up a majority of survivors bc of how expansive across the galaxy they were.. getting more service corps lorebuilding outside of just initiates being scared theyd end up there would be so fun idk its all very interesting to me

I want to reiterate here what I said in the stream but the @Tplus_cx team is one of the few new projects that are playing the lorebuilding playbook right. From their events to their merch, it would be wise for others to take note.
