Final day of #BlackHistoryMonth and Zola told me to tell you to go visit her big sister’s #LunaLibrary located at the Northside branch of the Lexington Public Library! All books are black history or black character focused! We love and miss you, Kamaria Spaulding! 💜📚

A year ago today, @lexpublib cut the ribbon on the #LunaLibrary in honor of our late daughter, Kamaria Naundi Francis Spaulding! The book collection features ALL BLACK history nonfiction and fiction books with BLACK character leads for children K-12! My daughter wrote a grant in high school to open up her own “freedom school” at the Carnegie Center for Literacy & Learning one day.. Though she left us in the physical form before that Dream could happen, we were able to open this up in partnership with LPL as a way to continue her legacy of education, diversity and inclusion! Between the summer of 2020 and 2022, prior to the opening of this physical library, we gave away over 1,500 BRAND NEW black history books to youth in Kentucky l. Please do me a favor this month (and every month) and visit The Luna Library at the Northside location on Russel Cave! #BlackHistoryMonth

3D club & Book speed dating are just 2 of the ways students ⁦@NISD_Luna⁩ enjoy the ⁦@LunaLibrary⁩. Mrs. Lucero is welcoming classes into the library for a good read with lots of space to be safe. Thanks for the visit. 📚⁦@NISDLib⁩ ⁦@NISDTeachLearn

That’s it isn’t it? The boss sent this down w/ revisions from the earlier versions I read and the emailer didn’t care much either way. ‘Just following orders’ is a powerful excuse for employees. I’d like to think any women who work there are feeling very near rebellion, but...😔

It´s very prominent with gen z and younger millenials. It´s like for older women feminism was an escape from male opression, but for younger girls it is done by declaring themselves to be non binary, gender fluid or trans.
