A couple of our volunteers enjoyed showing #LytchettBayView LNR off to Britain in Bloom judges yesterday. They talked about our different partners working together to protect this landscape, record its significant nature diversity & make it accessible to local people and visitors

What a way to kick off 2024!
A great morning birding Lytchett and Holes Bay with @davidwhite554. Bumped into @NarwhalSh at #LytchettBayView, and saw my first ever male Hen Harrier!! 🤩 Other highlights from there were 4 Spoonbill, Pintail and Firecrest

Thanks to all of the efforts of @LytMinUptonTC @harbourbirds @NaturalEngland @DorsetWildlife #LytchettBayView is now a Local Nature Reserve, SNCI and now recognised with this Gold award in conservation. A jewel in Upton's crown.

Vis-mig going well although only small numbers so far, added Fieldfare, Redwing and Greylag Goose. Also a flock of 11 Collared Dove in the trees maybe my biggest flock at Lytchett #LytchettBayView

Thanks to brilliant efforts over many years by our partner @LytMinUptonTC #LytchettBayView was recently granted Local Nature Reserve designation. This little jewel at the eastern end of our area is well worth an autumn visit. Last week they hosted a generous celebration 👏👏
