I appreciate the consideration, but we have to take into account that the web3 scenario is something new, even for Nexon. Their proposal is something that could revolutionize the web3 scenario as a whole. Unfortunately, I have to agree that the current @MaplestoryU scenario isn't very friendly, but I believe they will overcome this obstacle; we just have to wait. As part of the MSUxFriends/Builder program, I pass on many of the topics discussed in my live streams as proposals to the team; some have even been adapted and implemented in-game. I just think that the engagement with the community could be a little more iterative.

Jar's Dawn Warrior Journey preparations (1) I choose Dawn Warrior for many reasons 1) General Quality of Life (QOL) i. Exceptional Mobility - Dawn Warriors are one of the most mobile Warrior classes, especially in boss fights. - Rush/Flash Jump, Teleport-like Movement: They have three different dash/movement skills in total, making them rarely out of position. ii. Low Funding Requirement (High Return on Investment) - High Base Damage: Dawn Warriors have very strong damage multipliers baked into their skills and passives (like Rising Sun's Final Damage boost). - Flexible Inner Ability (IA): Unlike some classes that must roll for Attack Speed 1, Dawn Warrior is more flexible. While a perfect IA is always nice, they do not suffer as badly without this specific line, allowing players to focus on easier-to-get stats like Boss Damage or Crit Rate. iii. Fantastic Mobbing (Grinding) - Wide Area-of-Effect (AoE) - Automated Clearing: Their 5th Job skill Cosmic Shower (and the subsequent Cosmic Burst) covers a massive area and has a long duration (up to 40 seconds) on a relatively short cooldown (90 seconds). - Summon Utility: The Phalanx Charge summon is excellent for clearing distant enemies or adding passive damage to your rotation, further increasing map coverage. iv. Simple, Satisfying Stance System - Equinox Cycle Toggle: The complexity of managing two stances (Rising Sun and Falling Moon) is eliminated by the Equinox Cycle skill, which you can simply toggle on. This allows your main attack to automatically switch stances, giving you the damage and attack speed of Solar along with the critical benefits and extra hits of Luna without needing to mash multiple buttons. 2) Dawn Warrior 5th Job Strengths i. Simple, High Damage Output - One-Button Gameplay (for DPM): The core damage-per-minute (DPM) rotation often boils down to holding a single attack skill that automatically cycles between the Solar (Rising Sun) and Luna (Falling Moon) stances, making them incredibly straightforward for continuous bossing and grinding. - High Burst Damage: DW has a powerful burst rotation enabled by their 5th Job skills, which allows them to deal massive damage in a short window. ii. Powerful 5th Job Skills - Celestial Dance: This skill is a core component of their burst. It's one of their few 5th Job skills whose duration increases as it levels up (via the V Matrix), providing a significant, sustained damage boost during the burst window. - Cosmos & Rift of Damnation: Cosmos is a potent, channeled attack that is part of their burst and contributes a lot of damage. Rift of Damnation creates a portal that deals damage, and more importantly, applies a Final Damage debuff on the enemy. This debuff is a huge contribution to the party's overall damage, making DW a strong Party. - Phalanx Charge: A reliable summon that deals extra damage and is excellent for clearing distant enemies during training or adding extra hits in boss fights. iii. Exceptional Utility and Survivability - Double I-frame: Dawn Warrior gains access to multiple Invincibility Frames (i-frames) through their 5th Job skills, most notably with Soul Eclipse. You can use the skill to enter the stance and then use it a second time to exit early, providing two separate moments of invincibility. This double i-frame greatly enhances survivability in high-end boss fights. - True Sight (Hyper Skill): While not a 5th Job skill, its passive effects are greatly enhanced in this stage of the game. It applies a Defense reduction and an Elemental Resistance debuff, which is excellent party utility for all content. iv. Low Node Investment (Efficiency) - One Essential Trio: Unlike many classes that require multiple fully leveled "Tri-Nodes" for their main 4th Job skills, Dawn Warrior's main attacking skills often consolidate into just one primary Tri-Node. This makes their V Matrix progression (leveling their skills) significantly cheaper and faster, allowing them to reach peak damage potential with less time/mesos invested. 3) Easiest to level even during events - Definitely, many players will play Dawn Warrior once it release on 09/Jan/2026. - Level 1 to 130 for use is one of the fast class to be released. - Likely will take less than half a day or a full day to reach 1 to 200 with gears prepare and tons of EXP potions from Legion. 4) Looking space character design. - I am attracted by the Dawn Warrior design in female version. - Really cute and yet have noble stance character of a Knight willing to protect the Empress at will. - I do love space design, planets, science, and you know what, this Dawn Warrior have an interest of those astrology. Look what Dawn Warrior has, Sun, Moon, Cosmos, Eclipse and you know what BLACK HOLE. 5) Planning to use Dawn Warrior for Normal Lucid via Solo. - The background narrative have already made my moves to create moment for Dawn Warrior goes fighting against Lucid. - The hint is there @MaplestoryU shows the V Wallpaper. Two classes that will have comfortable bossing for these two new bosses. Its oblivious, they have tested on their end and is for sure is a must class to play. Jar Cooking 5th Job Preparations (4) How to expect when expectations are not fast in MSU? (Contains slice of life advice, treat it as life lessons.) - Many have quitted since the start of MSU. About 1 to 3 months, I seen many starters OG sells all their gears and quit the game. - I do agree that MSU over time events are very boring and repeating. - Then why am I still playing and not quitting? - The reason: I balance myself in MSU, set low expectations, adjust some self risk investing in MSU & treat MSU as a side hustle game instead of treating it as a Main Job. - Oh, I almost forget I am an OG Mapler since 2008 and quitted 2014 due to school. Well exploring at some point while crypto is evolving, market cycle, population hierarchies, many more. I kept myself self learning. - Yea, Im out of school now, got good job and MSU at my free time, so cherish it while I can enjoying MSU. - Well, I am going to share my tips how to live well in MSU. 1) Treat it as a game, know your limits. - MSU yea, people spend expect something in return and then quit the game when expectations does not meet. Simple as 1, 2, 3. - I have seen this many times even since 2008, until now is the same pattern but in different cycle. - The reason is not having the amount of patience they had in MSU with emotions then finally quit the game. Well I am not stopping these people, is their decision, not mine. - I also will do quit one day, how long? I dont know. - Interestingly I have found out when I see explore myself outside the world, yea is the same thing over and over again on different topics. - People quit, restart something they are engage into until some months or years, people quit and find new interest over and over again. - Well let me share my 1 experience as an OG Mapler. In web2 maplestory, people grind, scroll the equips, cube & starforce and now a 22 SF, Godly Fafnir, many character class in their account. - Well back then it was like what, 2008 - 2014, Legion have not been release, its only have link skill features from Mercedes till all the way to Zero, Hayato and Kanna. - Oh those times, the people who have godly equips, well quite common they are very rich from business owner or family inheritance, about estimate 100k USD, yea about there. - At that time people still sells their equip for real cash and it was illegal at that time, no one cares, they want real profit. Now things improves and yet very unstable for self monetary gains. - Also, same people who spends and sells also end up quitting the game. - I was a student at that time, loving Maplestory since my teen years and I was poor had like spend about hundred of dollars into web2 Maplestory. - Now? Yea I have improved a lot with experiences and now, Web3 MSU? Same pattern over and over again... - So set you expectation low in MSU, do not yourself high, burnout in MSU will come your way so treat it as a game. 2) Do not self compare with other people with whales status including me at your starting journey in MSU. - Treat this game like a journey, I started progressing myself, finding ways to increase stats without spending a lot. - Sadly to speak, its Web3 Gaming not the updated Web2 Gaming where you have freebies and freebies... - Hello back then, updates were very slow 2008 to 2014, technologies have improve insane now over 2015 to 2025. - Well I end up spending anyways, love the game and I adjust my budget to cover back. Oh, I have a good pay job so, yeap, thats how life works. - People also ask me to spend more on MSU, pft, never happen unless Im rich though. (Yea actually, I am just wealthy right now). Unless MSU offer me a pay that is higher I have currently then I will spend. - Took me 5 months to reach 24k stats from 5k stats. - Seen many reach 10k stats from 0 stats without spending a single cents. Yea the usual web2 methods. - At some point, you can start to compare, ONLY when you need to progress your stats, NOT SEEING PEOPLE FLEXING THEIR GEARS. They have spend a lot, they wont tell you how much they have spend, I have already give a rough estimate, expect 2k USD onwards till over 100k USD. - People who spend a lot end up quitting and not to worry, people who sell early in the game end up spend a lot as well in MSU & people who earn a lot in the game manage to breakeven, quit the game and still join back the game and spend a lot as well. Oh people who spend a lot still alive right now cause of treating it as a game otherwise they are big business owners. - See is a never ending cycle, now ask yourself, why is it this manner? - I can share, is human nature, the wanting with emotions. - All in long, I have experience so, what I can share to everyone is: ( Balance everything what you have and what you can control at your end, remove all your emotions in market, you will burnout quickly. Do take some risks, not all in risk thanks. Low risk is fine. As long as you can cover back then is good.) - Just expect you will have low returns from the game, yea game rewards is useless right now, so I treat it as side hustle. 3) Never focus too much on game 24/7 all the time. Especially you want to progress fast. Otherwise, treat it as dailies for 1-4 hours. - Yes over time, MSU can be boring, slow and slow event, slow rewards. - Well you need to have patience for all these coming, MSU is a game company, I do work on corporates companies, is very common everywhere, company have people to feed at their end and us, they also need money to gain from consumers. - Planning, policies and more towards insiders, they do want to do their best to satisfy Web3 consumers. - I seen many who talks about it, do respect the whales spending a lot on MSU, otherwise MSU will have difficulty to balance at their end. - There are people who do complain, how worst the game is still, just ignore the noises, MSU will do well in the long term. - I have a life, job and keep myself simple. Set my expectation low. I learn fast, to be honest, I do not love to learn work stuff fast also, is disturbing overtime and it will consume my life. - My schedules with MSU? - Right now I have work so do busy most of the time. - Monday to Friday 8 hours of work after work 1-3 hours of MSU, including rest and eating. - Saturday and Sunday, 4 - 16 hours of playing MSU, including rest and eating. - Long breaks, 8 - 16 hours of playing MSU, including rest and eating. - If really busy and want to enjoy your other activies? Login to MSU and do dailies will do. 4) Set yourself at 1 to 2 main characters for end game content the rest as mules. - In the long run, V Day contents will get grinder and grinder. - I do recommend to have at least 1 main character to have almost everything for your end game gears. It will be sufficient enough. - Do not forget, we are all human, we do need some proper life stance, else it will just be burn out simple as that.
