Last night, BASD hosted @RemakeDays community celebration. This event wrapped up our book study on @When_You_Wonder. Participants engaged in #MakerLearning activities and @mattsmakerspace joined our event and made a donation to our student-run maker space!
Check out this creativity! Reteaching is a great way to bring #makerlearning into the curriculum. Making choices about what materials to use or which facial expressions to draw shows so much critical thinking. Awesome!!
@KIDMuseumMD: My 4th grade scientists & 5th grade historians participated in a maker’s workshop. No guidelines other than they had to reteach what they’d learned in NTI. This was our first week back in person! ❄️ @DrJWEvansJr@KingWendy_m@KEDC_HERO@KEDCGrants
💡How do you bring #MakerLearning into your classroom? Just watched an amazing zoom about exploring creative challenges that build critical thinking & problem-solving! Ready to put these ideas into action! 🚀 #DesignThinking@KyCharge@KEDCGrants@KIDMuseumMD
We've got our fingers crossed, too! Incorporating some fun, hands-on #makerlearning is a great way to help students re-engage after time away from the classroom. Even better: it helps students *stay* engaged. Thanks for supporting innovations in education, @KEDCGrants!
Building with every day materials in the classroom just got a lot easier. I'm super excited to teach my 3rd graders about Supply and Demand after today's session with @KIDMuseumMD. Thank you @KEDCGrants and @KEDC_HERO for another great opportunity!
So thrilled to have partnered with @KIDMuseumMD
and Amazon to bring #MakerLearning to @APSVirginia teachers! It was amazing to see 55 educators so excited and engaged, leaving with materials and strategies to bring hands-on learning to their students. @APS_STEM@APSVaSchoolBd
Thank you, @KIDMuseumMD for hosting our first Maker Studio PD for 55 @APSVirginia educators. Teachers were engaged from start to finish, exploring maker learning strategies like circuits & cardboard construction. #MakerLearning@APS_CTE
In Mrs. Yaria’s class Ss are engaged in novel engineering, a strategy that utilizes the engineering design process and maker learning. Ss design and make replicas of various settings identified in their novel “Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing.” #designthinking#makerlearning
