I'm helping a school leaver with limited qualifications secure an engineering apprenticeship
To help with job applications I'm looking for a woodwork club in Inverness where he could demonstrate an interest in making and learn woodworking skills
Anyone know of any?

Maker folks with experience in vacuum forming!
what sources of thin sheet can I use just to test a former? Can I use like an old pop bottle, or a milk bottle?
I will buy proper sheets eventually.

You need to talk to the maker community on Twitter. It can be fun (and a learning experience) to DIY it with LEDs, conductive thread, a controller and some code so it can do whatever you want it to do. #MakersHelp*.

Wanted: Lipo charger that receives 5v and charges, preferably by USB, but also outputs 5v so it can be built into an #arduino project without damaging the battery. Any ideas? 😀#makersHour #makersHelp Thanks!

#MakersHelp is this a 'Hailong' eBike battery connector? Detail on all this stuff with actual dimensions seems very scarce. I could remove this and fit XT60s but I like that the pack is nice and tidy with an option to slide it on/off a mount making it easy to remove and charge.
ALT A 4-pin 'blade socket' connector on the end of an eBike battery.

Twitter, I need your help. I stacked a ceramic bowl into another one while doing dishes and now they are stuck. How do you remove the smaller bowl without breaking both of them?
Why am I so invested? I’ve tried to fix this for 2 days, and I cannot give up now.

#MakersHelp we did a test piece of the resin I want to fill my Roman bath with, and it seems to have reacted with the paint (acrylic/emulsion mix) and gone yellow (remains in cup have stayed clear.). Can I seal the paint with something to prevent this?
