I am delighted to announce that a communications board has been installed today at Hurst Green Park. This initiative began when I shared the idea within our community and subsequently launched a fundraising page, which can be found at
justgiving.com/crowdfunding/….
Bobby from Nisa Local Hurst Green was instrumental in this project; he kindly reached out to inform me about a charitable organisation, Making A Difference Locally, which is supported by Nisa. Inspired by his suggestion, we applied for funding to purchase a communications board, and I am pleased to report that our application was successful!
Furthermore, I would like to highlight that the board was designed and supplied by Kayleigh at SENstation, whose expertise in creating effective communication tools has made a significant difference to this project.
The communications board is designed to enhance inclusivity and improve communication for individuals with speech and language difficulties, as well as to assist those who may find it challenging to express themselves verbally. It features a variety of symbols and images that can help bridge the gap in communication, making Hurst Green Park a more accessible and welcoming space for everyone.
This project truly embodies the spirit of collaboration within our community. It is a testament to what we can achieve when we come together with a shared purpose. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this initiative, whether through donations, support, or spreading the word. Let us continue to work together to create positive changes in our area!
