Ive filled some buildings with floors and also done a lot of it by hand. Unreal engine has recently released “procedural content generation” tools called PCG that does most of the actual generation of stuff really fast. Leaving you to setup the placement algos and not focus on the system (runtime placement here!) x.com/80level/status/1667033… I also did similar work with unity, they had a plugin called VegetationStudioPro that paired amazing well with mapmagic to generation everything.
