The County Government of Nyamira is finalizing an MoU to partner with REREC through the Matching Fund Programme. Speaking during a joint press briefing with REREC Board Director Philip Cherige and REREC Regional Manager for South Nyanza, Nicholas Langat, Nyamira County Governor H.E. Amos Nyaribo announced that the County will allocate 20 million shillings, which REREC will match to fund projects in the county. Kuresoi North Member of Parliament Hon. Alfred Mutai, joined the REREC team for the commissioning of the electrification of Terekena Primary School in Kuresoi Constituency, Nakuru County. The 4 KM line will electrify over 60 customers including the Primary School. The project was jointly funded by the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NGCDF) Kuresoi North and REREC under the Matching Funds program which is a cost-sharing arrangement with County Governments, Constituencies, and other stakeholders on a shilling-for-shilling basis, based subject to availability of funds. #ruralelectrification #RERECMashinani #matchingfund

Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC) has today signed a collaboration framework with the @LamuCountyKe Government to a tune of Ksh. 20 million.
