Leading is also about sharing best practice for others to learn from. If this also 'blows your own trumpet' then that is probably because you are doing some fabulous work with your team! 💙
I once appointed a nurse to work for me one night a month on a permanent contract rather than bank due to childcare and husband working for the army. When I left the Trust she was nearly working full time hours. I also supported another nurse to work short shifts in the morning.
I do - but I’m the manager so not sure if I can blow my own trumpet? I work in interventional radiology and we are so specialised and take a long time to fully train staff so I’d much rather be accomodating than risk them leaving!
