WHEN TWO LIBERATION NATIONS REMEMBER TOGETHER Recently, had the honour of receiving Colonel Bernardo Manuel Domingos “Bocas”, Director of the National Museum of Military History of the Angolan Armed Forces, and his delegation. Our conversation was about memory. Service. Sacrifice. And what nations owe to those who bled so that future generations could live free. Zambia was a frontline state. We opened our borders and our land to liberation movements across Southern Africa when it was costly and dangerous to do so. We stood with Angola when standing with Angola meant something. That shared history is not just the past. It is the foundation of everything our two nations are building together today. Museums are not just buildings. They are the conscience of nations. They remember when the living forget. They tell children who they are, where they come from, and what it cost. Some friendships are built on trade. Some on geography. Ours is built on blood and freedom. That is the strongest foundation of all. -Rev.
