While I was meeting the 2024 ® merolaopera Merolini (great group!) Mélanie finished a draft of her book, including author's note and acknowledgments. So proud of her!
Two Merolini were part of the world premiere of “El último sueño de Frida y Diego” at @SDOpera this past week. The opera hailed as “Musically rich,” featured @baritoneDaza (‘97) as Diego Rivera and @_MrMezzo (‘22) covering Leonardo.

We’re celebrating #WorldOperaDay with few pics from our 2022 Merola Grand Finale! For over 60 years we’ve been honored to be a part of this expressive art form and to watch it thrive through past and future Merolini.

A small enclave of Merolini worked together at the Kenosha Opera Festival earlier this summer on the company's production of Rossini's "Il barbiere di Siviglia": @Geldridg_ (Merola '19), @CasualTenorHere ('19), and Edith Grossman ('18 & '19). What a lovely reunion!
