Dear Meta,
Thousands of original creators are being impacted by sudden "Authentic Engagement" restrictions, often without any clear explanation of what content or activity triggered the action.
Creators spend years building communities, creating content, and helping grow the Facebook ecosystem. Yet many are facing:
❌ Monetization disabled ❌ Revenue placed on hold ❌ Reach dramatically reduced ❌ Limited access to meaningful support
The biggest concern is transparency.
If a page or profile is restricted, creators deserve to know exactly which post, video, reel, or activity caused the issue. Without that information, it's impossible to understand, correct, or appeal the decision fairly.
In 2026, AI-assisted content creation is being embraced across the industry. Platforms are launching AI tools and encouraging creators to innovate. Automatically treating AI-generated or AI-assisted content as "inauthentic" without proper context risks penalizing legitimate creators who are following platform policies.
We respectfully ask Meta to:
✅ Clearly identify the content that triggered restrictions ✅ Improve transparency in the Authentic Engagement review process ✅ Restore pages that were incorrectly flagged ✅ Provide faster and fairer appeal reviews ✅ Release legitimately earned revenue after review ✅ Invest in real creator support
Creators are not asking for special treatment.
We are asking for fairness, transparency, and accountability.
The creator economy exists because creators invest their time, creativity, and resources into these platforms. Supporting creators should be a priority—not leaving them in the dark.
