Because great lighting isn't simply about illumination. It's about creating better experiences through design. #LightingDesign #DesignExperience #ArchitecturalLighting #Microlights
As the Hijri New Year begins, it offers a moment to reflect on the journey behind us and the path ahead. May this year be guided by peace, purpose, and light. Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed and prosperous Hijri New Year. #HijriNewYear #IslamicNewYear #microlights

Israel….supposedly the most advanced intelligence service in the world, but they somehow didn’t pick up on thousands of combatants about to swarm across a supposedly secure border on motorcycles, in pickup trucks, and flying microlights. Don’t make me laugh🤭

My wife's away with her boyfriend at the moment and I've got into the habit of not sleeping till maybe 7 a.m. I try to sleep around 2 a.m. but then around 3 a.m. my limbs get restless and the problem can only be fixed by drinking coffee. Which keeps me awake till 7 a.m. My plan now is to stay off the coffee and stay awake till 3 or 4, then go for a walk to calm my bloodstream. If I disappear, it'll probably be because someone murdered me when I went for a walk. Just mentioning it because someone walked out of the bar here a few years ago and no trace of him was ever seen again. There are drug couriers sneaking through the forest round here but they're mostly just girls so probably don't do a lot of murdering. People fly stuff in on microlights.

My days spent in microlights were always very carefully planned, and communicated to ATC's Normally at 4/5000ft, but up to 10,000.

The microlights are interesting. They are pretty much totally banned for private use in Egypt.

Who funded Hamas? Bibi even said it from his own mouth. Who has committed far worse crimes than Hamas? Do you believe John, that men in microlights and pick up trucks breached the most secure border in the world… for six hours without a response?

Signs of spring yesterday First flock of microlights flying north along the coast, sensibly avoiding the Fylingdales exclusion zone.

India Launches Procurement of 200 Next-Gen Air Defence Guns to Counter Drone Swarms 🇮🇳🔥 India has initiated the procurement of 200 New Generation Air Defence Guns (ADG-NG) for the Army to counter the growing threat of drones, drone swarms, and low-flying aerial targets. > The move comes after lessons from Operation Sindoor > Part of the larger Mission Sudarshan Chakra air defence build-up 📌 Here's the key details: > Designed to engage drones, helicopters, cruise missiles, microlights, and para-motors > Minimum 4 km firing range and 2.5 km engagement altitude > Will use smart programmable ammunition with autonomous electro-optical targeting > Expected contenders include L&T, BHEL-Leonardo, and AWEIL > Minimum 50% indigenous content mandated 👉 India is now moving to deploy a new gun-based air defence layer built specifically for the drone warfare era. 📌 Follow @_TheTathya for more such updates.

how about flying microlights over a Jewish festival and shooting the revellers with AK47s and blowing up families in their homes with hand grenades? That is what Muslims did on October 7th...does that not sound more antisemitic you crass cunt?

Apart from Israel being tipped off, you expect people to believe that the most heavily protected border in the world controlled by the Palantir state didn't see a load of microlights that can be seen with the human eye miles away 😉

The plan that crashed was over 20 years old. Investigating a plane crash is never simple, but it’s critical. Here’s why:   1️⃣ Black box – Tracks speed, altitude, engine, and cockpit talk; shows what went wrong second by second. 2️⃣ Maintenance – Last service, replaced or overdue parts; even small oversights can be deadly. 3️⃣ Pilot records – Training, licenses, flight hours, medical checks all matter. 4️⃣ Weather – Wind gusts, storms, turbulence hit microlights far harder than helicopters.

Let’s talk microlights the aircraft that crashed into a preschool in Tema. Why should Ghanaians care? • Tiny, lightweight (~350–390kg) • Usually 2 seats max • Built for recreational flying, training, or hobbyists They are not helicopters as helicopters are heavier, certified, and built for urban operations. Microlights in cities = high-risk gamble, and Tema proves why they are not allowed in cities.

Serious question after the Tema crash: Are Ghana’s aviation rules for microlights actually strong or just ignored? By law, they should NOT fly over cities because they are sensitive to wind and have higher accident rates than commercial aircraft. So either: • The rule was broken • Or enforcement failed The school had already evacuated pupils. Minutes earlier, and we’d be counting dozens of dead children.

Two persons have died in a microlight aircraft crash in Tema. The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority in a statement said the aircraft with registration number 9GADV was flying to Accra from Ho. The GCAA says investigations are underway and that further information will be provided in due course. Microlights are typically much smaller aircraft seating two people and mainly used for recreational purposes.

Rotary engines are fab. My dad, design engineer, was a big fan. They only really took off when the finer engineering tolerance was achievable economically. A lot in microlights!
