The Matrix, bir bin yıllık sürecin kapanışına yaraşır bir sinema vitrini olmanın dışında henüz 13 yaşında olan bencileyin, bu albüm sayesinde pek çok şeyi keşfetmiş oldu. Wachowski'lerin, alternatif metal'den endüstriyel elektronik müziğe kadar bir dolu fiyakalı ismi boca ettiği albümden sadece Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Lunatic Calm ve Rage Against the Machine'i filmde duymuş olsak da (The Prodigy'nin "Mindfield" eseri, dojoda biraz modifiyeli bir biçimde tınlıyordu), albümde Rammstein, Deftones, Ministry, Monster Magnet ve Meat Beat Manifesto gibi isimlerin, patladıkları önemli hitler de yer alıyordu. Rob Dougan'ın "Clubbed to Death"i ile The Matrix PR'ının en önemli unsurlarından biri olan ve Neo ile Tirinity'nin o meşhur bina baskınının da fitilini ateşleyen Propellerheads imzalı "Spybreak" albümün genel seyrinden farklıdır. Nihayetinde nu metal ve endüstriyel metal ile resmi olarak tanışmamı sağlamış bir albümdür. Fakat en büyük hayal kırıklığım ise The Matrix'in fragmanında da yer alan Enigma imzalı "The Eyes Of The Truth"un albümde yer almamasıydı. Her neyse... Bize pek çok şey öğreten albümler kuşağında, henüz ortaokul ikinci sınıftayken, bizzat o hafta harçlığımdan biriltirdiğim tost ve ayran paralarıyla satın aldığım The Matrix'in adını şöyle ferah ferah geçirmek istedim. Bazen, bizim jenerasyonun bile epey şanslı olduğuna inanıyorum. Bu arada 17 Ağustos depreminin hemen sonrasına denk geldiği için filme gidememiştim. Yani soundtracki filmden çok daha önce dinleme şansım oldu. The Matrix'i ise ilk olarak Intertex'in yanına kurulan çadır kentin sinema çadırında, kaçak olarak izleyebilmiştim. Hey gidi günler... Deprem halkın, deprem korkusunu yenebilmesi adına Ahmet Mete Işıkara'nın bile ATV ana haber ekibiyle birlikte The Matrix'e gitti günlerden bahsediyorum. #TheMatrix

First thing when you are in Ukraine: Welcome to Language hell. As a westener with little to no knowledge of the languages (!) in Ukraine you only need 2 things: "Djakuju" and "Budlaska". That's it. No one in Ukraine expects more. Everything else is a mindfield because you will never figure out if the word you want to say is russian (fuuu) or ukrainian. Pure ukrainian speakers who deny any russian word will soon find out if you know a little russian or not. And for some anger will grow: Why do you come to Ukraine as a westener and use russian words? So: Just dont. Stay in the save harbour of your own Language. So my advice: Forget every russian word when you come here and impress Ukrainians by building up a small treasure chest of important ukrainian phrases, commands, responses ... . Maybe they will help you. Maybe. The russian Language will die in Ukraine. Too much was destroyed in the name of russki mir. Forget russian in Ukraine. Dont be shy to speak your own language in Ukraine. There is always the same reaction: Surprise and a smile. As if they wanted to say: "Thanks for being with us in these times. Why are you here?"
