There are many companies from China or Singapore with amazing general use features, for hobby use.
Minicircuits is an amazing example... Attenuators, filters, mixers, directional couplers...
Also, China is amazing source of demo boards for amazing chips that can be used in hobby labs...
There are companies like
@HAROGIC and
@deepaceblog that produce products for just can not beat for that pricing...
Pretty much only 2 tools I would say are affordable for most ham radio operators, from west are R&D SMIQ 3 and FSIQ 3...
In price range below 5000$, even west companies like
@Aaronia_AG are worse in many ways compared to comparable products from China and Singapore, in similar price range...
I would argue coolest AWG right now is made by UNI-T, it can do mixing between channels, has external modulation, etc.
@HAROGIC provides amazing features if you want to do digital signal analysis...
@deepaceblog is amazing if you want amazing standalone reciever and super precise SA... They also have amazing power meter...
@MiniCircuits has pretty much anything else one might wish for in the lab...
