I was at a hotel for a snowboard trip last year and there was a kidsβ hockey team staying there (prob 8-9 y/o kids). The hockey dads were drinking at the hotel bar the whole time while the kids ran around with ministicks and slammed doors til 2AM. Gotta agree with you on this one

That's really sad, I've lived in Ontario and QuΓ©bec and hockey was always everything. Fond memories of the Sid vs Ovi debates in elementary school (I was team Ovi he's still my fav but obv I love both now) and floor hockey and ministicks on butt scooters and stuff

Luke Hughes, by the way, played minor hockey in the GTHL with the Toronto Marlboros back when his father worked for the Maple Leafs. William Nylander used to play ministicks and other games with the Hughes kids.

There's a current NHL prospect (who plays in the A), and his mom ran an in-home daycare that my brother and I went to.
Like wdym we used to play ministicks in your basement and now you're set to be in the big league in a couple years π

cats cradle, phum/wallball, ministicks, double dutch, cootie catchers, patty cake, slapsies, foursquare, hopscotch, marbles were all at my north american elementary school. hopefully the new generation learned them as well and keeps them alive

No but FRRRR I was thinking about this. He was a kid playing ministicks in the hall dreaming of scoring the GWG to win the cup for the leafs, and this is what's happening to him.
