As a person who started on purple app and then proceeded to multistream with YT I would say that YouTube lowkey could become better than twitch if not already. I am not sure if it is just me but YouTube algorithm shows me SO MUCH MORE to people than twitch. Twitch discoverability imo is just BAD ASF. To elaborate, I started streaming on YT probably about a month ago or so. So many people joined and told me their fyp page showed me to them and they are happy about it, give me sub, while twitch chat usually tells me they found me through YT shorts/TikTok and rarely fyp page. And just for you to also know: I am consistent in all the platforms I use. And for consistency only TikTok and YT rewards me but never twitch. And I am not some person who got viral or anything, I am just doing okay with views, nothing crazy or out of ordinary. To sum up. I don't think you should feel bad about picking YT or twitch, it's just depends what you prefer the most. And I don't think that YouTube is a bad start. I genuenly think that thanks for it's shorts system and algorithm push of all videos, in the long run it would work better for you, even if the growth is slow.

Well, I do multistream but I dont see any advantage. I just do it for a little hope(?) Otherwise I wouldnt mind if someone does not do it. I know it works for some ppl but not for everyone. Plus I always get weird chats on twitch haha.

I multistream - love having the VODS stay on YT automatically but the reach on YT imo sucks compared to twitch. ppl say the discoverability on YT is better but i utilize the vertical option and the horizontal, use tags, and all the like but only ever get like 2-3 chatters there

I multistream sometimes! I don't like doing it to youtube since it's always been a resourcehog to my pc without any benefits. Tiktok chat can randomly get full of weird people so I only really like to do it when I have a friend there to moderate it

If it was different though, I would love to multistream but I don't think that platform will go easier on creators LOL

Personally, I don't multistream to YT because I like doing karaokes and watching videos randomly. YT loves sending copyright strikes and I don't want my channel to be terminated

The problem with tiktok is that you have to really be careful with what you say😭 Like you cannot mention other platforms for example. People that multistream on tiktok just say "The red platform" for YT Or the purple one for twitch So it is a bit complicated but has a fairly good algorithm. I would choose YouTube tho I don't wanna deal with tiktok HAHA

You can multistream nowadays without using more resources. I think multiple free providers let you multistream to 2 platforms with sending 1 Source.

I don’t multistream cause I have to figure out the settings to make it work across the board, but also need a pc that can handle it too lol I have the problems to both of them fixed soon hopefully

Not everyone has the resources and equipment to multistream. Also people upload unedited content because they don't have the hard drive space to store them locally. Hard drive space at scale like a NAS is expensive with how much space video takes up.
