Exactly my point though. Their entire culture and tech stack is not designed around synchronized real-time multiuser applications. I think the closest they’ve got to that would be Google Chat and Google Meet and even these are only done at a small scale per group chat.

It works great actually. Something Google has little experience with is real-time synchronization of many such clients. This is why their Google Docs multiuser experience is so piss poor. Google is used to a particular use case and hasn’t developed expertise in the type of MMO-style activity where a global userbase require immediate guaranteed updating on a per tick basis. You cannot achieve that with a highly distributed backend as your cross communication latencies would get wrecked.

atm I think we have merely a strategic availability issue if some big model repo should become unavailable because US-somethings. on the compute side I have yet to test the GB10s, what I read is mildly unimpressive for speed yet could work for multiuser-sessions, for small setups (like a small office) I can report that even T4s are fine for daily use with some optimizations (then again we are not an AI shop). near future concerns: buying some 100k GPU rigs is not impossible, but the powerutility bill is of more concern to me on the planning side...

Sunshine isn't designed for a multiuser setup tho. You can't really have it set up for both yourself to have full access and your friend to only have limited access.

My UNIX V7 port to MMU-less 68000 is coming along nicely. I can now boot into single user mode, then exit out into multiuser to enable more terminals. And then I've ported a 68K C compiler so I can self-compile code inside the UNIX. #HELLORD
