Every kid deserves a champion… …and so do parents. Sometimes the only way to reach a child is by reaching the parent first. Relationships are everything. #multiplyexcellence

We sometimes overcomplicate MTSS, but at its core, it’s about giving students what they need, when they need it. MTSS isn’t a rigid system. It moves WITH students. Different paths, same high expectations. Differentiate the journey, not the outcome. #edchat #education #multiplyexcellence

Every kid deserves to feel that spark — that moment when they realize, “I’m really good at this.” But they don’t find that confidence on their own. What we say to kids becomes the voice they carry inside themselves. And what we say about kids becomes the way others see them — and often the way the world treats them. Our words can lift a kid or limit a kid. Let’s build them, not break them. #edchat #education #multiplyexcellence

Culture is about reaching every kid. It’s not about rules, posters, or programs. It’s about creating a place where no one slips through the cracks. Culture is like refining a colander — when the holes are too big, some students slip through. So we keep adjusting. We patch, reshape, and refine. Until one day, it starts catching what it used to miss. That’s what strong culture does. Every conversation, every relationship, every bit of reflection — it tightens the weave. And the tighter the weave, the more students we catch. Because in the end, culture isn’t about perfection. It’s about catching as many kids as possible — and never stopping until we do. 💛 #Education #Edchat #multiplyexcellence

📣 School is for kids. Schools are often the heartbeat of a community, but at their core, they exist for one purpose: to serve students. The hardest part of education isn’t the kids—it’s remembering that every decision should come back to them. Every kid. 🔹 Schools are for the kids whose parents work long hours and don’t always have time to help with homework. 🔺 Schools are for the kids who are still learning English and need extra patience. 🔹 Schools are for the kids with disabilities who shine when given the right support. 🔺 Schools are for the kids whose behavior gets in the way of learning because they’re still figuring out how to manage big emotions. 🔹 Schools are for the kids who miss often and need someone to understand what’s really going on. 🔺 Schools are for the kids who ace every test but struggle to make friends. 🔹 Schools are for the kids who light up on the ball field but wrestle with academics. 🔺 Schools are for the kids who may never play a sport but come alive in robotics or art. 🔹 Schools are for the kids whose home life is shaky and school becomes their safe place. 🔺 Schools are for the kids who can’t yet see a future for themselves—until a teacher helps them believe in one. Schools are for every kid. Not just my kid. Not just your kid. Not some kids. Not most kids. Every single one. #MultiplyExcellence

I always feel so grateful when I get to spend time with our incredible building leadership team. They are truly carrying the banner for our school day in and day out! It only made sense to do a collaborative book study on @EmilyAPaschall’s book called “Multiply Excellence in Your School” where she discusses just that AND how to get others to do the same. We are looking forward to having our #CPSbest #TrustyHuskies define that banner once we all return together! #MultiplyExcellence

🔺Culture isn’t just policies, procedures, or relationships. 🔹It’s what happens when those things don’t work. 🔺It’s how we respond to ‘that kid’. 🔹It’s finding a way to reach every kid. ‼️Culture is doing whatever it takes.‼️ #MultiplyExcellence

How I feel about getting to interview future teachers next week. May we all hold on to the same passion that a new teacher exudes from the interview chair. “When you know your why, your what has more impact because you’re walking in and toward your purpose.” #multiplyexcellence

Two teachers can teach the same lesson and get completely different results. The difference? Passion and creativity. The power isn’t in the program—it’s in the magic the teacher brings. #multiplyexcellence

There are two types of competition: competing against yourself to grow and competing against others to win. One builds a dynamic school culture, while the other can divide it. Strive to be better than you were yesterday—your only real competition is yourself. #multiplyexcellence

Every kid can and will succeed when they have a champion who believes in them. The magic ingredients? 🔹Compassion and grit.🔹 Meet them with empathy first. Then love them enough to change their story. #multiplyexcellence

Instead of asking a kid “what’s wrong with you”, ask “what HAPPENED to you”. Kids have a lot of wrong in their lives - it’s called trauma. Asking whats wrong sounds judgmental. Asking what happened is rooted in compassion and encourages them to share their story without feeling ashamed. If a kid is unmotivated in your class, perhaps there is a deep rooted problem in the kid’s life. Love them enough to ask “What happened?”. The language we use matters. 🩷 #multiplyexcellence
