LabVIEW History & Timeline: Interviews with Jeff Kodosky & Dr Truchard
Some years ago while I was at NIWeek in Austin Texas, and was honoured to be able to speak to both Dr Truchard and Jeff Kodosky, two of the founders of National Instruments.
In the interview I was able to have quite a long time with Jeff Kodosky who was the actual 'inventor' of LabVIEW and he gave me soem interesting insights into its development.
The video traces the history of LabVIEW from the founding of National Instruments through the first GPIB products the company manufactured to the first ideas for LabVIEW when the Apple Macintosh was introduced.
The various new innovations to LabVIEW and the major milestones including LabVIEW 2.0 with a compiler, LabVIEW for Windows and the multiplatform version together with LabVIEW RealTime, and LabVIEW FPGA are all mentioned.
I look back on this video with fondness as it was a real privilege to meet these two great guys.

Fantastic work! I remember NIWeek 2000, internal engineers demo'd something quite reminiscent of this. It had members of the LabVIEW team that you could shoot, Or maybe it was a drunken dream. You are a star!
